Support Breast Cancer Haven during
Being diagnosed with breast cancer and undergoing treatment affects a patient both physically and emotionally. Breast Cancer Haven offers a free programme of care to help patients and those supporting them during this difficult time. Havens are welcoming day centres staffed by a specialist team who provide support, information and complementary therapies before, during and after medical treatment.
There are so many ways you can support Breast Cancer Haven. Could you throw a party, run a marathon, introduce us to a Trust or Foundation, volunteer some time, make a donation, work at an event or get your workmates involved – if so, get in touch!
Breast Cancer Haven - Yorkshire Appeal!
Breast Cancer Haven is committed to developing a network of Havens throughout the UK and Yorkshire has been identified as the ideal location for the third Haven.
Why Yorkshire? * Yorkshire has a high population density (approx 5million) which equates to a high number of breast cancer patients. * There are 22 breast clinics in Yorkshire. * There is currently no designated facility offering support and complementary therapies specifically for people with breast cancer. * The positive response we received from the medical community. * The funding potential and renowned generosity of Yorkshire people.
Leeds has been chosen as the Yorkshire home of Breast Cancer Haven. Why Leeds? * There are six NHS hospitals and two private hospitals in Leeds. * Five of the Yorkshire breast clinics are in Leeds. * It is highly accessible with an excellent public transport network. * Leeds is a fast growing city with a forward thinking business community.

My mom was also diagnosticated with breat cancer. I must say that the period of time when we were all living with the impression that she will die one day was the worst of my whole life. Fortunately, everything was wrong and it seems that the doctors who said that wasn't as good as he claimed he is and he made a big mistake when saying such a thing.Angie says:
